Chimezie is the founding Chief Executive of the Firm and Head of Our Lagos Office. He oversees our Transactional Advisory and Financial Services practice group.
Chimezie holds an LL.B from the University of Lagos, a BL from the Nigerian Law School. He has an M.Sc in Law and Finance from Queen Mary, University of London, and various certifications in numerous areas. An accredited insolvency practitioner and dispute resolution expert, his expertise is in Arbitration, Restorative Justice and Mediation.
He has over 20 years of experience as a legal practitioner and entrepreneur. He represents clients in civil and commercial matters before various Courts and Tribunal in Nigeria.
As a scholar, Chimezie has published several papers on various areas of law and business. These include electronic commerce, payment systems, crypto-currency and blockchain regulation and financial regulation.
In addition to his legal qualifications, Chimezie is a trained Financial Analyst certified in Sell-side and Buy-side investment analysis and Financial trading. His expertise ranges from the valuation of complex financial assets, financial modelling, Strategic Management evaluation, risk management, transaction structuring for tax optimisation; regulatory compliance, exotic asset management and legal strategy development for financial markets.
He is a member of the Business Recovery and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Taxation, Society of Technical Analysts UK, Nigerian Institute of Management, Institute of Strategic Management Nigeria, Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators, Intellectual Property law Association of Nigeria, Chartered Institute of Public Management and Negotiation and Conflict Management group.
